About How to Change Everything

Today, the need to adapt and evolve is more evident than ever.

For 25 years, How to Change Everything has guided institutions, leaders and movements at their most ambitious moments of transition. In a world that needs more adaptive capacity, we create more generative, just and vibrant organizations, societies, teams and relationships.

Our offerings are for those able to discern what’s working and should be kept, what to actively create and what to release with grace. For those juggling the dual needs for safety and adventure, independence and self-definition, responsibility and freedom. For those ready to put in the work and bask in the rewards of change!

Our services include an ever-evolving portfolio of training programs, consulting and coaching for individuals, cohorts and organizations. We are honored to work with an extraordinary mix of change-makers across social, commercial, political and creative domains.

We are called to ascend to higher possibilities and challenge limitations, injustices and extractive practices. Together, we can live more harmoniously with each other and the planet, build adaptive skills, deepen curiosity, challenge the status quo and make beautiful values-aligned choices.

About Working for How to Change Everything

We are in the progress business, and we love what we get to do in the world. We hold a deep commitment to service with dual passions for creativity and collaboration. We are driven to figure out what works, design efficient and elegant solutions and share the joy of stepping into future possibilities. We are filled with ambition, pragmatism and the occasional awkward dance move. We believe in family-style dinners, midday park walks and feeding the good in each other and the world. Our team loves collaborative Spotify playlists, genius (okay, sometimes terrible) puns and being in community. Together, we are on the front lines of growing a mission-driven business with a dynamic team of spirited people who are committed to social good AND sparking joy along the way.

We provide team members a competitive benefits package designed to support a healthy work-life balance, including:

  • 17 firm-wide days of office closure annually, plus Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Paid parental leave
  • Health and dental insurance, with 80% of the premium paid by How to Change Everything, and the opportunity to contribute to a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • Opportunity to purchase vision insurance through Change Everything’s benefits provider
  • Life, Short-Term Disability (STD), and Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance fully paid by Change Everything
  • Opportunity to participate in a pre-tax commuter benefit program
  • Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) plan participation after 3 years of service

Why How to Change Everything

Your work will have impact
We only work where we can be of service. We only choose clients and projects that will feed the good in the world. Wherever you are in the organization, you’ll be contributing to positive impact in the world.

You’ll be supported
No great deed is done alone. We work to carry burdens collectively. We believe in actively asking for help, mutual support, feedback and skill development.

You’ll have opportunities to grow
We believe everyone is unfinished and part way on their journey. We believe in giving people work they can handle (and a little stretch) and letting them run with it. And we are always on the lookout for what we can grow into.

You’ll operate in a supportive ecosystem
We gladly offer a competitive array of benefits—including healthcare, unlimited vacation, personal coaching, shared meals and career planning.

You’ll exercise your creative problem-solving
We believe new challenges require creative solutions. Creativity is a norm and a constant invitation. We love people who think differently, have an entrepreneurial spirit and surprise us with new possibilities.

You’ll have freedom
We believe in giving you autonomy. You won’t feel like a cog in a machine. We’re a community that values you—your passions, your talents, your point of view and your ambitions for growth.

You will hone your craft
We believe in dedication to doing something well. You’ll invest focused attention to growing skillsets, receiving feedback and learning best practices.

You’ll be surrounded by the best
Internally and externally, we work with leading minds, hearts, change-makers and weirdos. We’ll learn from and inspire each other.
